Purpose of the American Red Cross East Shoreline Chapter

The Red Cross is dedicated to making our communities a safer place to live, work and play. We provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. When house fires and other disasters strike, trained volunteers respond to the needs of victims and firefighters. Red Cross volunteers provide residents with lifesaving skills such as CPR, First Aid and Water Safety. Military services provide a 24/7 link between local families and their immediate family members stationed anywhere in the world. Community services help prevent homelessness by assisting low-income residents with utilities, rent, food and prescription medications.
