Disaster:

Disaster Action Team (DAT):
DAT Members respond to local disaster throughout Arenac, Bay, Huron and Tuscola counties, and are the first level of response for larger events. Help your neighbors by providing initial and immediate relief with food, clothing, shelter and other assistance. Daytime and after-hours opportunities are available. After-hours opportunities include being part of a team that is on call for a week at a time, less than once each month.

Military:

Armed Forces Emergency Service (AFES):
AFES volunteers help with communications between family members and military service personnel. Whether it’s good news or bad, often it is difficult for the family to contact a service member directly, particularly if stationed overseas. The Red Cross can help by relaying important messages very quickly. After-hours opportunities include being on call with a partner for a week at a time, about once each month or less.
